Hello, and welcome to the world of practical jokes! Yes, this can turn into quite a mean one too. If you aren't the joking type, please leave now, but if your anything like me I have come up with a pretty good one -- CoolAide. The name says it all, it "Aids" your typing in a very cool way. While running, all the letters typed on the computers keyboard respond with the next letter in the alphabet. Type an A, get a B. Now I'd like to see that hotshot try to type at 40 words per minute!

 

Installation ----------- The installation is pretty quick and simple. The only files are the program - CoolAide.exe, and tegospy.ocx. The first is the executable and the other takes care of the keyboard intercepting. Run the setup program (setup.exe), and follow the on-screen instructions. I recommend using all default options. The install program should make a shortcut on your start menu in a group labeled CoolAide. If you want to run CoolAide now, simply click on the icon. You may want to move the CoolAide shortcut to the folder labeled StartUp in the start menu. This way CoolAide will be started with the computer and your friend will never know it is there.

Use & Secrets ------------- Don't be surprised when you first run the program because nothing will show up anywhere. Even if you press ctrl-alt-delete to see the task list you will only find WinDrv which is the programs alias. It is when you start to type that you will discover it is running!
Secret Features...
1. Press a * to toggle between on and off mode. You can use the asterisk to freak out your victim when you are able to suddenly "fix" their problem. Just sit down, type an "*" and show them how everything works fine, type "*" again and they won't be able to type at all!
2. Type STOP in all capital letters in order to close the program.

End Notes -------- This program may slow performance, so I don't suggest leaving it running. If it doesn't work you may email me for help, but I can't guarantee anything. If it causes problems (on your computer or between your friends) sorry, but it ain't my fault! If you want to manually End Task, the program to close is WinDrv. Have Fun!
